Arrival Airport: Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimnjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by Aquila Venture transfer driver and taken to Tulia Hotel and Spa (http://www.tuliahotelandspa.com ) or Similar within Arusha. The rest of the day will be at leisure and you can either relax at the hotel. In the evening you will attend a briefing in preparation of the upcoming safari. Bed and Breakfast

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will be collected from your hotel in Arusha and make your way to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will scan the seasonal swamps, savannah, and Tarangire River in search of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hartebeest, elephants, giraffes, waterbuck and reedbucks. With a bit of luck, you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards lying lazily in the trees above. After an extensive game drive, having experienced the various sights and sounds of the wilderness, you will leave the park and head to Farm of Dreams Lodge (http://farmofdreamslodge.com ) or Similar, where you will stay the evening. Day 2: Ngorongoro crater – Karatu

Early risers are rewarded with breath-taking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge and after a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO world heritage site formed millions of years ago is 610 m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino horns, peeking through the grass. After an extensive game drives through the park, you will leave the cascades of flamingos behind and head to your Farms of Dreams lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Breakfast; Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After the breakfast plates have been cleared, you will continue toward the fertile highland where wheat, coffee, and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with a diversity of landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah, and mountains. Here the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and depending on season you will have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for nourishment. Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Today you will explore the Serengeti National Park. Your guide will take you closer to where the migrating herds are to be found. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds make their way from the hills in the north to the plains of the south, returning north during the longer rainy season from April to June. Their exact location differs yearly as they migrate according to the rainfalls, but your guide will know where you will be able to see the best. Lurking close by you might even spot some leopards, cheetahs, and lions. After an eventful day, you will return to your last night camp in the Seronera area for your evening meal and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro area – Mto wa Mbu

After an early breakfast, you will head out for another game drive in the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – before embarking on your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite amount of animals, you will return to Mto wa Mbu where you will arrive by late evening. Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha airport

After a short briefing in the morning, you will travel westwards to the small Lake Manyara National Park. The park with its shallow alkaline lake is known for its over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests (look out for the long-tailed Guenon monkeys) and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara which is home to colonies of flamingos and other water birds. Apart from elephants, you might also spot giraffes, hippos, wildebeests and impalas while the forests near the lake are teeming with noisy groups of monkeys and baboons. From the pop-up roof of the safari vehicle you will be able to absorb the sights and sounds of nature. After lunch at a picnic spot, there will be more time to continue your game drive before you leave the crater and return to Arusha by the early evening and be dropped to Arusha airport for your flight connection to Zanzibar.
