5 Days Mid – Range Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire park

In the morning you will be picked up from Arusha and make your way to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds. From the open roof of the vehicle, you will scan the seasonal swamps, savannah, and Tarangire River in search of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hartebeest, elephants, giraffes, waterbuck and reedbucks. With a bit of luck, you will catch a glimpse of a lion stalking its prey or leopards lying lazily in the trees above. After an extensive game drive, having experienced the various sights and sounds of the wilderness, you will leave the park and head to Fanaka lodge, where you will stay the evening. Lunch; Dinner

Day 2: Serengeti park

After breakfast you will make your way to Serengeti National Park for a game drive (and picnic lunch). A million wildebeest, each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfill their instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life here. They participate in a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating, as well as a survival of the fittest as they plunge in 40km (25 mile) long columns through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north. After a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily, the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again dinner and overnight at Embalakai Authentic lodge.

Day 3: Serengeti Park – Ngorongoro

Today you will wake up early, have a cup of coffee and take off for a sunrise morning game until the late morning. You will then return to the campsite for brunch. After your meal you will check out and take off on an exciting game drive in the Serengeti later driving to the Ngorongoro Crater. You will check in and enjoy dinner and your overnight stay at the Fanaka lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro crater

Early breakfast, proceed directly to the Crater floor for a 6-hour game watching inside the crater the sight to big five animals which includes Lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and maybe black rhinoceros with picnic lunches down the crater at Ngoitoktok spring here you will also be able to see other big mammal includes hippopotami, giraffe, warthog, baboons, and birds. After about 6 hours ascending the crater rim drive to Fanaka lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake Manyara park – Arusha

After breakfast you will check out and take off for an exciting game drive in Lake Manyara National Park with a packed lunch. The Lake occupies a large area of the park, the forest starts just when you cross the park gate along the base of the Great Rift Valley with the hot spring to the west of the park. The park is home to the famous tree-climbing lion, buffalo, giraffe, hippo and troops of baboon. You will also see the majestic pink flamingo, ostrich, Egyptian geese and more. After your picnic lunch you will take part in an afternoon game drives; later driving to experience the different plantation. In the evening you will drive back to Arusha. This is where your safari will end.
